Plasma Sterilization and Processing Certificate
The Certificate in Plasma Sterilization and Processing equips students with tools and skills necessary to work in the fields of plasma sterilization for medical equipment, plasma etching of circuit boards, and plasma processing of metal and polymer surfaces. Students gain fundamental knowledge of the field, historical background, multiple types of plasma systems, safety and quality controls, and hands-on experience working with chamber design and operation requirements. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to explore environmental considerations, perform risk assessments, and develop protocols for equipment and material handling using national and international standards.
