Environmental Science (Minor)
The Minor in Environmental Science provides students with an interdisciplinary understanding of natural systems, human impacts on the environment, and strategies for sustainable resource management. The program integrates coursework from the physical, biological, and environmental sciences to examine environmental challenges such as climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss. Through a combination of classroom instruction, laboratory work, field experiences, and applied projects, students develop scientific literacy, analytical skills, and problem‑solving abilities relevant to environmental and sustainability‑related careers.
The Environmental Science minor is well suited for students interested in careers or graduate study in environmental science, environmental management, public health, conservation, sustainability, policy, education, and related fields.
To complete the minor, students must earn 15-18 credit hours as follows;
