FREN 1001 Elem French I
Prerequisite: None
Credit Hours: (3-0-3)
An introduction to listening, speaking, reading, and writing in French and to the culture of French-speaking regions. Students who are determined by the instructor to be fluent in French through previous schoolwork or expereince must take FREN 1002.
FREN 1002 Elem French II
Prerequisite: FREN 1001, two years of high school French, or permission of the instructor.
Credit Hours: (3-0-3)
A continuation of FREN 1001, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing in French and further study of the culture of French-speaking regions.
FREN 2001 Intermediate French I

FREN 2002 Intermediate French II
Prerequisite: FREN 2001
Credit Hours: (3-0-3)
An extensive reading of authentic literary works in French, review of troublesome aspects of French syntax, and introduction to compostitionand literary discussion in French.
