Chemistry (Minor)
The Minor in Chemistry provides students with a solid foundation in the principles and practices of chemical science. Designed to complement a wide range of majors, the program strengthens students’ analytical, quantitative, and laboratory skills while deepening their understanding of the molecular basis of the natural world. Through a combination of lecture and hands-on laboratory courses, students gain experience with scientific reasoning, chemical instrumentation, data interpretation, and problem‑solving techniques used across the chemical and health sciences.
The minor is well suited for students planning to pursue a career or graduate study in fields such as biology, health professions, environmental science, forensic science, engineering, and related STEM disciplines.
To complete the minor, students must earn 18 credit hours as follows;
| Code | Title | Hours |
|---|---|---|
