Gordon State College proudly sponsors a competitive intercollegiate athletics program that promotes excellence in academics, athletics, leadership, and character development. The College is a member of the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), providing student-athletes with opportunities to compete at the state, regional, and national levels.

Currently, Gordon State College fields four intercollegiate athletic programs, including two women's sports and two men's sports. Women's athletic offerings include soccer and fast-pitch softball, while men's teams compete in basketball and baseball.

Through participation in intercollegiate athletics, Gordon State student-athletes develop teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and leadership skills while representing the College with pride and distinction. The athletic program plays a vital role in enhancing campus life, fostering school spirit, and supporting student success both on and off the field.
